As we were wandering down Ossington, we realized we were at our destination when we saw a huge lineup outside the store. The storefront was fairly nondescript and it took a while to see a sign. Despite the large lineup outside, we decided to wait!
It probably took a good 25-30 minutes for us to come out with an ice cream sandwich. The line moved rather slowly and we realized why when we got closer to the front of the line. There were only two people preparing the sandwiches at the back. They both looked really tired and overwhelmed.
The storefront itself is rather small, with just enough room for a counter and a kitchen area. There are a variety of different cookies and ice creams to choose from- the options are endless! At first glance, the Chocolate Cookie with Sea Salt and the Oatmeal cookie caught my eye.
Chocolate Cookie with Sea Salt + Hazelnut Ice Cream (Half)
After much deliberation (I had time), I decided to go with the salted chocolate cookie with hazelnut ice cream. Unfortunately, the cookie was much harder than I anticipated and I could not comfortably bite down on it. I ended up just chipping away at the cookie with the small wooden spoon the sandwich came with. In terms of flavour, I thought the salted chocolate cookie tasted a little odd. Perhaps the flavour just did not suit my taste. But the ice cream on the other hand was delicious!
Sadly, Bang Bang Ice Cream did not live up to the hype and I left wishing I just ordered a bowl of ice cream.
